Tracking of trays with electronical parts in warehouse.

We were approached by our customer who is significant producer of electronics to make tailored solution for its needs.

The solution demanded to tracking trays with electronical parts in warehouse. Trays were transported in the cart from one way to another. Purpose of this solution was tracking move and location of electronical parts stored in these trays. What made this solution quite tricky was presence of another parts marked with tag close to a reading zone and it was objectionable to read anything else except the reading zone.

In this case our goal was to make reading zone for a certain space which was strictly defined. For this purpose we have decided to use antenna FlexiRay SFR-4400. This antenna allowed use its homogenous field for tracking close objects. We had to decrease reader´s power to create reading zone according to clients needs approximately 1 meter to avoid reading another trays located nearby.  Because of the cart dimensions we had to put another antenna above. Two antennas above each other created 2 meters high reading zone. The direction of tray’s movement is determined by pair of optical sensors.

Antenna FlexiRay SFR-4200 thanks to its abilities allowed us to create precisely determind reading zone. It was essential for this project to avoid unwanted reading tags out of reading zone.
